The Oaxaca Lending  Library, 

<http://www.oaxlibrary.org>  is “A pathway to literacy, English and the Oaxacan community.” An English language cultural center in the middle of Oaxaca (Pino Suarez 519). The Oaxaca Lending Library was founded in 1966 and is one of the oldest continuously operating English language libraries in Mexico with a collection of over 20,000 books and 450 members.

As a good neighbor the OLL connects different cultures, promotes local commerce and provides a stimulating enviorment for social interaction and life long learning.

Our library inspires the joy of reading to both English and Spanish and the pursuit of knowledge for all ages, beginning with the very young.

LibrosParaPueblos is puting libraries into the towns and villages of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico. We are a small group of Meixcan and non-Mexicans volunteer who want to share our love of reading with the children who live around us . With your help we care providing a service that has never before een available.
